Returns & Exchanges

Our Returns Policy

We want you to be completely happy with your Vaeric jewellery.

If you change your mind about an eligible purchase, you can let us know within 14 days of receiving your order. You then have a further 14 days to return the item to us.

Please contact us before sending your return so we can provide the appropriate return instructions.

Ready to Ship

Items purchased from our Ready to Ship collection can be returned in accordance with your statutory cancellation rights.

You have 14 days from the day you receive your order to tell us that you wish to cancel. You then have a further 14 days to return the item.

You may handle and try on your jewellery as you would reasonably be able to in a shop. Please take care not to mark, scratch, damage or unnecessarily handle the piece.

Where an item has been handled beyond what is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning, we may be entitled to make an appropriate deduction from the refund for any reduction in value.

Standard Made-to-Order Jewellery

Many Vaeric pieces are handcrafted only after an order is placed.

Where you are selecting from our standard range of sizes, widths, materials and design options, we do not automatically treat the piece as bespoke simply because it is made after your order is placed.

Unless your piece is genuinely made to your individual specifications or clearly personalised, the normal cancellation rights described above will apply.

Bespoke & Personalised Jewellery

The statutory right to cancel does not normally apply to goods that are genuinely made to your individual specifications or clearly personalised.

This may include, for example:

  • personalised engraving;
  • a unique design created specifically for you;
  • materials, dimensions or specifications specially sourced or created outside our standard range; or
  • other clearly personalised elements requested specifically for your piece.

Where we believe an order falls into this category, we will make this clear before your order is placed.

Your statutory rights in relation to faulty, damaged, misdescribed or otherwise non-conforming goods are not affected.

Ring Sizes & Exchanges

Please check your ring size carefully before placing your order.

We strongly recommend having your finger professionally measured, particularly when ordering a wider band.

If you believe you've ordered the wrong size, please contact us as soon as possible.

For pieces eligible for cancellation, your statutory cancellation rights still apply.

Where a bespoke or personalised ring isn't eligible for a change-of-mind return, whether it can be resized or exchanged will depend on its construction and materials. We'll always discuss the available options with you.

Please see our Ring Sizing Guide before ordering if you're unsure.

Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items

Every Vaeric piece is carefully inspected before leaving our workshop.

If your jewellery arrives faulty, damaged, isn't as described or you receive the wrong item, please contact us as soon as possible.

Under UK consumer law, goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. Your statutory rights apply regardless of whether your jewellery was Ready to Ship, Made to Order, bespoke or personalised.

Nothing in this policy limits or excludes those rights.

Natural Materials & Variation

Vaeric jewellery incorporates natural and unusual materials including meteorite, fossil, opal and natural stone.

Variation in colour, texture, pattern and appearance is an inherent characteristic of these materials. As a result, your piece may not look completely identical to photographs of another piece made using the same materials.

These natural variations are part of what makes each piece individual and are not, by themselves, considered faults.

This does not affect your rights where an item is faulty or does not match its description.

Returning Your Order

Please contact us before returning an item.

Unless an item is faulty, damaged, incorrect or otherwise not in conformity with your statutory rights, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning it.

Due to the value of Vaeric jewellery, we strongly recommend using a tracked and appropriately insured delivery service.

Please retain proof of postage until your return has been completed.

Refunds

For eligible cancellations, we'll refund payments due to you using the same payment method used for the original purchase, unless otherwise agreed.

Refunds will be made without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we receive the returned goods or, if earlier, 14 days after you provide evidence that the goods have been returned.

Where you paid for delivery, we'll also refund the cost of our least expensive standard tracked delivery option where required by law. Additional amounts paid for an upgraded or express delivery service are not refundable beyond the standard delivery amount.

As Vaeric currently offers complimentary standard delivery, there will normally be no outbound standard delivery charge to refund.

Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to show the refund in your account after we've issued it.

Faulty Goods

Your rights for faulty goods are separate from the change-of-mind cancellation rights described above.

If you believe your Vaeric jewellery has developed a fault, please contact us with your order details and a description of the problem.

Depending on the circumstances and when the fault occurs, you may have a legal right to a refund, repair or replacement.

We'll work with you to resolve the issue in accordance with your statutory rights.
